About

Foothill Folkways is a community herbalism project based in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, on the ancestral lands of the Gabrielino/Tongva people. I practice traditional Western herbalism with plants connected to my personal lineage and the ecology of Southern California.

I believe folk medicine can be a path to personal, community, and ecological healing by inviting people into deeper relationship with nature, their communities, and themselves.

My practice is grounded in foundational values of reciprocity and care for the plants, expressed through commitments to rewilding efforts, ecosystem protection, and respect for Indigenous sovereignty.
