About
Foothill Folkways is a community herbalism project based in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, on the ancestral lands of the Gabrielino/Tongva people. I practice traditional Western herbalism with plants connected to my personal lineage and the ecology of Southern California.
I believe folk medicine can be a path to collective healing by inviting people into deeper relationship with themselves, their communities, and the ecosystems they are a part of.
My practice is grounded in foundational values of reciprocity and care for the plants, expressed through commitments to rewilding, ecosystem protection, and Indigenous sovereignty.
